3. "Tai Ping Hou Kui" A Floating World (Yellow Mountain, Anhui Province)
Tremendously huge, flat shaped, serrated edged, point ended leaves over 4 inches long, 1/2 inch wide, often with a red center vein. The authentic version of this tea is grown high up on the mountain, where the plants are constantly bathing in clouds and mist, making it unbelievably sweet tasting for such a mature leaf. This leaf continues making numerous infusions, unlike any other green tea (with exception of Green Olongs, Pu-Erh), of a slightly orchid scented, full flavored cup. Truly a connoisseurs’ treat, for the eyes and palate.
